Brindisi Airport

Brindisi airport is the nearest airport to Lecce (35 Km). Daily flights connect Brindisi to the international airports of Rome (by Alitalia- www.alitalia.it) and Milan (by Alitalia- www.alitalia.it,  for low cost company EasyJet-www.easyjet.com). Brindisi is also connected to the international airports of London Stansted, Brussels and other important city (by Ryanairwww.ryanair.com, low cost company), Cologne,Munich, Stuttgart (byhttp://www.airberlin.com), Geneva (by Easy Jet www.easyjet.com), Zurich (by Helvetic– http://www.helvetic.com/).

The airport closest to the conference venue is Brindisi Casale, at 30 minutes driving distance from Lecce; taxis and shuttles are available just outside the airport.

Bari Airport

Alternatively, you may land in Bari Palese airport(150 Km far from Lecce), take metro,  taxi (fixed price EURO 20 from Bari airport to Bari city center) or shuttle to Bari central station and reach Lecce by train in approximately 2 hours. It is also possible to take http://www.aeroportidipuglia.it/bus3 to Brindisi airport, from where buses to Lecce are available.

Rome Airport

You may, also, land in Rome Fiumicino airport(550 Km far from Lecce) .From Fiumicino Airport reach the centre of Rome quickly by train with Trenitalia. From the railway station, located in the airport, near the Arrivals and Departures terminals, you can reach the Rome Termini railway station with many, frequent connections:
-Leonardo Express, a non-stop service exclusively for airport passengers to/from Rome Termini railway station leaving every 30 minutes (every 15 minutes at peak times) with a journey time of 32 minutes
-Regional FL1 trains to/from other stations in Rome, including Rome Tiburtina, with departures every 15 minutes on weekdays and every 30 minutes on weekends and holidays

By car

To reach Lecce by car from Rome is necessary to follow A1 highway, direction Naples, and then follow A 16 or A 14, direction Bari. Meanwhile, to reach Lecce by car from Milano is necessary to follow A 14 highway, direction Bari. Then to reach Lecce from Bari, for both routes, is necessary to follow main road 379, direction Lecce.
